How to integrate your Shopify Store with Xero Cloud Accounting
If you are running a Shopify Store and looking for a way to automatically import your sales into Xero for your Bookkeeping, this guide will show you how. Firstly there are a few things to take into consideration.
How it works
Xero only imports fully paid orders.
Each order is only imported once.
Xero will create an invoice for each order and allocate the payment made against the invoice.
The Shopify order number will be used as the invoice number and will show up in the reference fields.
Xero will create a credit note for each refund and allocate the refunded amount to the credit note.
If you want to sync your inventory with Xero it is recommended that you use a third party app from the Shopify app store to help with this as there may be Xero syncing issues with quantities.
You will need to map your tax rates in Shopify to your tax rates in Xero
How to connect your Shopify Store with Xero
